Tech tree item is unlocked but items are still locked???

Please help I'm going crazy! I'm trying to build a small constructor, not the survival one... the one you have to unlock in the tech tree. I am now level 10, and have all the mats to make it. It is unlocked in the tech tree, but I'm trying to build it at the survival constructor and at the bottom it's saying it still needs to be unlocked. I'm stuck and it's so damn frustrating. ANy help would be appreciated.

I recall running into that problem a long time ago. I just reloaded the game and it worked. It was awhile ago though, can't say if it was the same problem or a new one for you.

That's weird. It should be in the portable constructor under BA devices. Try filtering for all devices instead.

If you're playing on a MP server give some time for the server to update your char data

Are you trying to build the right one? There is more than one 'Small Constructor'.

I had this same bug once. i ended up deleting empyrion folder out. but backed up my blueprints and saves. a file integrity check didn't fix it but a full redownload did. and i put my blueprints and saves back.

Did you spent the points on the tech tree to unlock it? Just cause you are the right level doesn't automatically make it available.

It needs to be the one specific for BA, CV, SV, HV, depending what's your case, you may have unlocked 1 of the 4 but others may still be locked. At level 10 you should have unlocked several of them except maybe the advanced constructors, but you need to unlock all of them it in the F3 menu *manually* IIRC. I can only speak for single player.

Is this part of the Tutorial? I'm wondering if there is an objective that you need to complete first, before it will allow you to proceed? I can't remember.

Levelling-up is not part of the tutorial, it's part of Survival. You do pretty all aspects of the game and you level-up when you do them the first time.
