Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Best planet for base?
I’m playing Eden reforged and I have a starter CV, Sv, and hv. I’m looking for a cool planet to make a base on With maybe some extreme weather and no oxygen. Any suggestions?

Also can I make a base on any planet in the galaxy and travel far away and my base will still be there?

How does galaxy territory effect planets and base?

You can build anywhere you want except on the planetary poles and that grey line down the planet, the planet seam. Your stuff will be there when you come back no matter how far away you go. The game calculates the fuel usage, production, plant growth when you return to that playfield.

As far as the territory, i think that the faction home planets are set to specific type of planet other then that I am not sure.

I haven’t made it out of ziarx territory ever. Is there any benefit to setting up base on lag at territory? Are there still ziarx in legacy territory planets?

Also if I build a base in space does it get attacked?

In RE 1.5 i think spacebases will get attacked, wasn't so before, still have to test myself though.

High G lava planets are about the most hostile you can find as far as environment goes. It was an absolute pain but I made a couple bases on a few High G planets, it was kind of epic.

some planets are better than others for bases. meaning closer they are to the sun and less weather effects or cloud cover the better solar panels work to either power the base or reduce fuel consumption.

space bases definitely get attacked. but are "safer" place to put up a base than others. if put a base in a patrol route and the faction goes hostile makes things rather interesting. had two torvera class ships attack my base once...and last time at that.

If you build a space base above the planet poles you'll rarely ever get attacked, maybe by drones now and then.

i keep some kind of land base with defense stations, is for when out and about with my hovercraft so have a drop off point for my loot and a place to repair. till i'm ready to abandon the planet and am done with it.

bases stay inside your save game and will be there, when you leave the area or system. unless you delete or salvage the base or it got destroyed by combat. for bases to be destroyed can only happen with you in the area or nearby.

This is what I was thinking for a base. I want to build a tough base with good defenses and have them tested every now and then

Plasma planets are probably the most difficult. Nasty radiation and heat and even nastier drones and indigenous...and high Gs.

I don’t think I’ve found one yet, if I destroy the ziarx on a planet in reforged eden will I still get attacked? And will I ever get attacked by large patrol vessels? Will they spawn on a planet?

Plasma planets should be around K, O or B stars and iirc M1Ia.

Only if you destroy their drone base, attacks on your base will stop.

Some planets have large patrol vessels. You can destroy their respective
control base. I always killed the vessel before the base so I don't know if
it will deactivate - never stuck around long enough to see if they come
back.

I had one with a ton of hostile NPC (mostly Zirax but a few others as well) and it was definitely a challenge to even build. Throw in all the environmental challenges and it got a little brutal. But the end result was pretty great.

Pulse Laser and Plasma Turrets for bases, imo, are only good for space bases, right? Since energy weapons are primarily more useful vs shielded targets, and the only thing I know that will attack your base with shields is an OPV.

Otherwise, Flak Turrets are amazing, Artillery can drop Transport Ship x2 waves, canon is the bread and button, with minigun/sentry to ensure coverage. I hear in RE/RG Rocket/Missile turrets are more the preferred choice for Drones as they tend to dodge Canon fire.

To Keep it a challenge do not destroy drone base to early. So drones are refreshed at poi or in the wild. Level 10 drone base makes drones least a challenge. I like looting drones myself.

I found a high g lava planet and my cv dove strait into the ground so maybe I’m not ready for that. Also drones and ziarx everywhere. Does a gravity thing help with the high g inside a base?
grogez Aug 5, 2021 @ 4:03pm
No. Remember to check the gravity before entering the atmosphere. 4+G planets will be tough anytime but there are a lot of interesting planets (like Hell planets or Plasma planets) with 2 or 3G.
