Objects not yielding their items

I picked 5 alien honey ... things ... and there is not one single alien honey (or whatever it's called now, since you keep changing the names of everything) in my inventory.

I could, as a workaround, but the bug would still exist.

Edit: 1 honey...plantthing...yielded its item for me as I got farther from the escape pod. Will update as I continue.

Edit: Also noticed that none of the herbal leaves (yellow stem plants) or corn dogs (cattails irl) that I picked close to the escape pod worked. Both honey and herbal leaves seem to be fully working once I got some unknown amount of distance from the escape pod.

Myself and person I've played with have just had some of our planted crops vanish on picking as well.
