help to increase or create more planets
Hi, can anyone help me? I need help to increase the planets by default, I have the game on a nitrated server and I don't see any information anywhere, the default game puts me 37 planets, I have modified the file solarsystemconfig.yaml but it has no effect on the game

The solar system file is the one of this path: empyrion /Content /Scenarios /Default Multiplayer /RandomPresets

# solar system
SectorPlanets:
- TemperateStarter, [2]
- Snow, [0,1] # +1 used as neighbor
- Arid, [1,2] # needed for resources
- Desert, [1]
- Barren, [1,2]
- Temperate, [0,2]
- TemperateSwamp, [1]
- Ocean, [1]
- Lava, [1,2]
- Alien, [1]
SectorPOIs:
- Sun, [1] # one sun/star playfield is mandatory
- AsteroidField, [1,3]
- SpaceTradingStation, [1,2]

modifying these quantities would generate more or less planets depending on the amount you will allocate, but when restarting the server or shutting down and restarting it still appears to me that I have 37 planets, any idea what should I do to make the changes take effect? Greetings.

If you are modifying the scenario files then you also have to start a new game afterwards.
It pulls from the scenario files when you create a new game. It has no impact on previous games.

You are also going to want to create a custom scenario, otherwise your edits will be overwritten with game updates or when verifying files.
In my scenario I have more then 100 planets, to make this I added all the files in the folder Content/Scenarios/Name of scenarios (inside the server, not in your pc).
Moreover, every planet need a folder (planet name) inside Playfields with the file .yaml and .ecf
I don't use Nitrado so I don't know exactly how to do it, I suggest to download from the workshop a scenario with many planets, modify them as you like, and put all the folder in your server.
Of course you have to restart the game and specify at the server the scenario you want to usefrom the configuration file because standard it use the default multiplayer.

Could you help me explain each step? What I did now was to duplicate for example the default multiplayer scenario, the name nano multiplayer, now in the server options select the nano multiplayer scenario, now that scenario has the solarsystem, I modify it but I still get the same planets in the game, did I skip a step?

To select the scenario from the server i have to open the file dedicated_config.yaml and find the line like this:
GameConfig:

GameName: Relaxed Adventure (here where the game save the files)
Mode: Survival
Seed: 2309115
CustomScenario: Relaxed Adventure (here the name of the new scenario inside the scenario folder)

Check in your scenario folder if you have all the planet in the Playfield folder.
Remember to restart the server after each change

I sent him through the steam chat the steps I followed with images, when I can look at him and tell me if I do the steps well? What playfield folder do you mean? I have a few playfields
OK what your trying to do for a novice in this game is complicated.

The sector file needs to reflect whats inside the planets folder, where all your planet yamls are stored, so from the top, your scenario folder is here,

C/ Steam Games - steamapps - common - Empyrion Galactic Survival - Content - Scenarios

Place YOUR OWN scenario in that folder.
If you have copy/pasted a default scenario to be your own, change its name, then its yours.

Now your ready to modify files for the scenario itself, we will get to Nitrado after you get the scenario files in order.

Open your scenario folder.
For the example Ive used a scenario I downloaded from workshop called '' Apocalypes A Terran Adventure''

Inside it should have a ''content , Extras , Playfields , Prefabs , and Sector FOLDERS, there should be a gameoptions.yaml there also.

These are the folders where your modified files for the scenario go.

Example adding a planet means creating that planet, lets say we did one in the SSG, which is a planet generator from Eleon, we then add its yaml to the ''playfields'' folder, and POIs on that new planet, their BP needs to go into the ''prefab'' folder, so the game can find these things in the correct places, the sector yaml needs to have the new planet added and co-ords so it does not have the same co-ords as any other planet in the sector file / scenario.

Thats the correct order for adding, creating planets in scenarios or creating your own scenario from the ground up.

Ive dropped some useful links here for you, to some threads with tools and alot of info on the topic.

Handy spread sheet for building planets etc,

Playfield generators, very well programmed both of them.

Nitrado, once you have your scenario working at home, tested and running, your ready to upload files to Nitrado server, I dont know the file pathway / address for all teh files on Nitrado as Ive never used them, but alot on these forums have so it shouldnt be hard to find out what folders they all get dropped into, but the scenario must be in working order first.

Clear as mud ay !

Thanks for the information, but the planet generator doesn't work for me and I have to do it all manually, that's why I asked for help, the problem that nitrated doesn't allow that program, because I don't know, that's why almost all information about this is little or It is old and the files are not the same as they are now or halfway through the tutorial they use the generator.
but thanks also for the inconvenience
Why not create and build teh scenario at home first, then just upload whole thing complete, when your trying to test things through a server it can be really problematic.
Or did I misunderstand and thats what your doing anyway ?

If you have a second PC at home it can be even easier to set up first at home, but it can be done on one PC also, just keep track of what files go where.
