And trees are not supposed to re-spawn...
Uh, yes they do
The base game design is for the player to go to at least 2 other planets for the full spectrum of ore required for building stuff.
There was also a bug where trees respawn near the playfield barrier but that was fixed.
Trees aren't supposed to respawn and this bug keeps popping back up. Any saves provided will help the devs to fix it.
In most cases these trees that respawn can't even be chopped down.
They can be turned off in custom scenarios if you want.
I agree. Is there some almighty being that says "Let there be meteors to refill thy cup of materials !". But only those materials the planet originally had I bet.
I've NEVER had a problem harvesting those trees after they re-spawn.
