Default Multiplayer and resource setting
I have created several MP servers using the Default Multiplayer setting, which gives a large planet and so on. But I still have issues finding promethium. I was wondering what other server admins and would it be wise to create increased resources for Multiplayer worlds? Anyone have experience and succuss with this?

When running a server, the BEST practice is to first create your own scenario.

This is very easy to do.

C:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Scenarios

Open that folder.

Copy the DEFAULT MULTIPLAYER folder to desktop and RE-NAME it, now that scenario is yours and wont be over written at every update.

Which is the next problem you are likely to have using your current scenario.

Now when you have your own scenario, now you can edit everything.

E:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Scenarios\NAME OF YOUR SCENARIO.

Open that folder and open the playfields folder, then open the planet you want to edit, then open that planets yaml file inside that folder and use notepad++ to edit it, and whatever changes you make there will be seen in the next new game start of that scenario.

You will see many entries for the different ores, you can edit alot of that.

If its a busy server, yes more nodes is better.
Set the nodes to max size will make them last longer, but any nodes used up, asteroids should fall unless you edit them out of the yaml.

I always find more is better than less in MP because its so hard to predict how many new players will visit each week.

Awesome, great info. I was wondering, when playing with these files, can I remove some lines so there is only ONE starting planet for new players? So all players have to start on the same planet?

One more question, how will changing these files affect a server that is already started with players and exsiting bases and such?

Yes you can set the server to one starting planet by modding the files, and you will need to start a new game on the server for it to take effect.

Go here for info on how to do it all,

ok, i did that, set starting planet from 2 to 1.. and the server never loaded. So i am prob doing something wrong with my editing of the files. I am using notpad ++ and I am aware that tabs are not used. I will check out that link.. thanks again.
