My "Sprouts are too hot or too cold"
I just built my first Base off my home planet. I built a Prefab --> BA_Prefab_Tier2B.
Everything is up and running. Constructor, Food Processor, O2, Turrets etc. Running perfect. Base came with 2 included Grow Pots. The Sprouts do not grow and in short time die. When I examine Sprouts I get a message "Plants will not grow because temperature too hot or too cold" Inside my camp is 71 degrees Under Grow lights 77 degrees. Lights are 3 maybe 4 blocks high and both pots are within light specks ( 3 blocks ) I do not see any info about Sprout Temp. needs. I do not know how to correct problem. Portable Cooler/heater do not spawn inside. Anyone know any solutions?
Not a big deal, My home base has a grow room I built with 12 grow pots & 4 lights so I can always haul food to this planet. Thanks

Your grow lights are too high, most likely. The grow light's block needs to be immediately adjacent to a plant's block, above it or touching diagonally along a block edge. One grow light can service nine plants effectively.

I agree with Vulcan. Imagine your fully grown plant as a block. The grow light should be the next block above the plant. The sequence from the bottom-up is grow plot-plant-grow light with no empty blocks in between.

i just measured. Its lower then it looks. I was able to place 2 blocks. The top of 2nd block touches grow light , which means the grow light is at the bottom of the 3rd block. Does the light need to be at top of third block? When I get back to my home planet i will have to remeasure my grow room i built. It works perfect but i cant remember if my light is at bottom of what would be block 3 or at the top of block 3.

sounds like its bugged, unless you dont have 0xygen on that planet and none in the base cause that prefab is fine from what I see.

It should look like this:

Light
Plant
Grow Plot

With no gaps in between.

But the error says the temperature is off, double check that the room is actually air tight. Like mentioned already, you also need a supply of oxygen with a ventilator if you're on a planet without a breathable atmosphere (not needed if the planet is breathable).

I don't understand what you're trying to describe, but I hope what I described was understandable. There is no "third block"; there is the plant's block and then the light's block, with the physical light at the opposing end of its block space and NOTHING else in between. The light block must sit directly on top or diagonal to plants' blocks (which are themselves are ABOVE the grow plot's block, not IN it).

I think your problem is that you're mis-perceiving the negative space in blocks. You need to start perceiving it right or it will cause you no end of headaches with oxygenation as well.

To see if room is airtight, press n, then click the debug tab, turn on the "show airtight blocks" and "show air" buttons.
It should look like this:
