You should be able to survive the a few days by sticking to warm locations, crafting lots of hot beverages (and energy bars) and using your heater (and sleeping through the night). When you are landing, try for a spot with lots of trees that's close to your initial trajectory.
But, also, depending, you might find it easier to craft a level 1 hv than to salvage the damaged hoverbike (this depends on your map and your situation). If you get yourself an enclosed cockpit, fuel tank, generator and a bit of fuel (chop down some trees and make biofuel), you can warm up even before the thing can move (hopefully you're building that in a convenient location).
Once you have an hv and some light armor and adequate fuel (maybe from a dozen logs):
you can find boosts and sometimes you can find eva or insulation boosts.
if you find medium or heavy armor, they have better insulation than light armor.
if you can't find gold, you can trade for it (this takes some doing, and is well past the point where you've got an hv to keep you warm).
(Apparently the default map always has convenient gold -- I have never played the default map and don't even know how to find it.)
