How to craft the drill

I can unlock it in the tech tree and it says it can be made by the mobile constructor on a SV, but I can't find it anywhere in the templates. Am playing single player survival in easy mode.

If your using a mobile constuctor, you can't. You will have to create a base. create a small constructor. Mobiles are good for refining and food.

You need a large Constructor to make a drill. It will be under the Weapons tab.

The large constructor did it. The tech tree is confusing since the symbols indicate that only a SV constructor or an advanced constructor can build it.

Now on to untold riches !

Seriously? I can build a much bigger drill that works on my hover vehicle in a small crafting station. Why would a handheld version be in the large? The interfaces in this game are so weird.

at the bottom of the research tab it tells you what colour goes with which type of constructor advanced /large /small / vehicle /portable
it doesnt help when they use the same colours to differentiate between base / CV / SV / HV

Use F5 to activate drone and use drill with that. Makes mining easier in my opinion.
