Signal Logic Motion Sensor
Is there a problem with the motion sensor setup since the update? I followed JRanndall's tutorial to the letter but can't get my hangar door to open and close with the motion sensor. Any step by step help would be greatly appreciated.

Built a quickie base in Creative to check that, alpha 12 exp. Worked for me.

Started by placing floor, hangar door, generator, fuel, put fuel in.

Placed a switch, set its Signal to DoorSwitch.
Set Hangar's Open/Close to DoorSwitch.
Switch test worked.
This tells me that the signals system is working overall (is your Signals switch turned on in power panel? Is your base turned on? Stuff like this)

Placed a motion sensor, set its Signal to DoorMotion.
Changed Hangar's Open/Close to DoorMotion.
Exited motion zone, entered again, it worked.

Thanks for your reply, Obsidiac. It's getting late here in Australia so I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know if things work out. I do admit, this is the first time I've tried the logic side of things so it might well be something simple that I am missing. One thing I didn't mention, I'm doing everything within the game proper (survival - not familiar with creative mode). Might need to study the game mechanics a bit more.

Since A12 dropped, I noticed my ship with me in it does not activate the motion sensor. If I walk in/out of the sensor area, the door opens/closes. But, not when I'm in my ship trying to leave/enter the door.

My lights glitche on me the other day, refused to activate for the motion sensor. Everything was correct, it just didn't work. Rebooted the game and it was fine. It could be as simple as a glitch.

On the off chance that someone might be following this post, I solved the annoying problem. It seemed I had grouped the hangar door with all my interior base lights. Once I removed the hangar door from the group, everything worked as it should.

Correction: not the group containing the base lights but the group containing the automatic doors.

I am having an issue with the sensors. They work initially after placing them, and then after a short while they stop working completely. Occasionally one of the sensors might decide to work, but they are very glitchy. I think recent updates may have caused issues. They work perfectly in Single Player Creative when I built a massive ship with 17 sensor circuits, but for some reason they aren't working in a smaller CV I modified with only 4 sensor circuits (the same way) in multiplayer on my dedicated server. VERY frustrating. The other thing I keep finding is when I log on, or randomly come back to my ship, I find the cargo bay door and boarding ramp open. I didn't open them. They are set to a sensor. Again, maybe it is a glitch with the sensors. Either way they need to fix the sensor issues in the next update. Anyone else having the same issues? Did you find a way to resolve it, or do you think it is a programming issue on the developer side?

I am having similar issues, mostly with the CV ramp - which is always down when I reload a save file ... even if I am inside the ship and nowhere near the sensor. A small issue but annoying non the less.
