Alien Planet Remnant

There is a large piece of an alien planet in space which in a recent game I stripped out before finding out it was part of a quest.
I've just started a new game in 12-4 and this time I've decided to do the quest but, I can't remember the name of the quest.
would someone please remind me what faction the quest was for and what the quest was called.

I am unaware of any quest that takes you to the Alien Planet Remnant. I know that doesn't help, but I just use it to stock up on the ores and easy loot. I'm guessing it was a Zirax quest, as I have not done all of those.

Pretty sure that's Uncertain Outcome, second Polaris mission. I mined most of the resources before I realized it might be part of a quest, but I was still able to finish it.

If you get stuck in a quest, you can always click the check boxes in the F1 dialogue and skip past parts that you can't complete. Some of them have poorly translated text or have glitches. I have looted the remnant, pirate hideout, and derelict ship before doing the missions and still been able to finish by clicking through those parts on the mission log instead.
