Convert titanium plates to rods?
I'm up to my eyeballs in titanium plates, but I have no rods. Is there a way to convert the one to the other? I'm pretty sure putting the plates in the factory works for that, but I need the rods in my inventory to make things with the constructor.

I don't think so only way to make it is from the ore. If you need it for a blueprint you can throw the titanium plates in the factory and they'll work in place of titanium rods.

No, there is no way to get Rods except from Ore and it is a deliberate design choice of the Devs.
The Titanium Rods are the equivalent to other mats Ingots and they don't want you to be able to deconstruct stuff to Ingots (Why we can only imagine)
The Rods might be renamed Ingots sometime in the future to avoid this confusion.

I still can, but it might be a result of my modding.

This is the explanation I got on the official forums.
You should be able to throw just about anything into the Furnace and get Ingots, but that would make too much sense. (I wouldn't expect a 100% return of course).
