Impossible to change Dedicated Server Difficulty Settings

Hello People,
I have searched every topic and tried everything and so far i havent been successful.

I am trying to setup a dedicated server for me and my buddy to play with. We cant play coop because we are unable to port forward due to having CGN IPs.

My Problem:
Server Difficulty options cannot be changed no matter that file i edit.

I edit gameoptions.yaml
I edit dedicated.yaml
+ I also edit the gameoptions.yaml inside /scenario/Default Random folder
(My Sceranio is "Defaul Random")

I restart the server only to find out that server ignored everything adn set all difficulties to "1"


Please help me

Hi I just found this yesterday, I'm guessing you installed the dedicated server tool from Steam like I did. Well Inside your Empyrion dedicated server files is a program called 'Empadminhelper.exe'.

Find it in 'Steam/steamapps/common/Empyrion-Dedicated server/Dedicated Server/EmpyrionAdminHelper'.

Run the 'Empadminhelper.exe', it has all the options for difficulty and server settings.

Give it a moment to start, and when prompted just hit 'OK'. Then you can setup what you want.
You can set food/oxygen use, remove enemy drones and base attacks, you can even Start and Stop server through this program, it's easy to learn and use. if I can do it anyone can :)

Gameoptions.yaml under save game folder. You can add any missing lines.

I tried that as well, however the program cannot connect to my server. Somehow, server is not responding to that program.

As far as i remember the problem could be that you entered the playfield bevore changing difficultys, some of them will not apply when the playfield allready got created and you cant change them after so you may check other planets wich noone entered after you altered the difficulty.
What ravien_ff replyed is the correct place for the difficulty setting. I didn't setup a dedicated server for ages so may there has anything changed and someone else is better in helping you out.

Only thing I can think is the Server tool hasn't installed properly. Empadminhelper connected straight up for me, wish I could help more :(

ps. to those saying just edit the yami, that's great if you know every command line, and type all the changes, and add the options that are not it the yami, but the Empadminhelper is GUI based program so it's much easier for new players like my self to make changes on the fly. Just click what you want and OK, restart Helper, done. :)

Once you changed settings did you start a new game ?
