How to increase player carry capacity?

So I decided to try with volume on, and it seems a Large Constructor is bigger than a personal inventory, meaning I can't pick it up to place it.

How do I get around this? Or is volume on an untested mode and I goofed by activating it?

You can start a base, build a small constructor on it and use that, and the wifi system to build and place the large constructor.

Ah, I'm currently just at the Crashed Shuttle. I found the Public Faction Core behind the lockers, is there a way to make it my own faction, or otherwise use the wifi system to build?

I'm guessing that you can stand on the crashed shuttle and press P. If the control panel comes up you can change the faction to your own there.

I changed it to my own faction. How do I use the wifi/remote build function?

once you have a cargo box ,with wifi you can connect/lock on to the box,then you put the large constructor in the new bar ..you can place it from that bar.

At the top of General Discussions is a thread called "Confused / Upset with the volume and logistics?" and in it there's a tutorial video. That should give you the basics.

A player can increase their carrying capacity with the different types of armor however you can't get high enough to carry most of the large items so its better to use the logistics/building system for that.
