How do you pick up a Large constructor? Volume

I decided to try the volume/weight stuff. Ok, difficult, I understand. I like it. Not anymore though. I made a large constructor, and it is 600su and my character has a max of 500. So I can't take it out of the cargo box to place it.
If there is some way to do it, then why doesn't it suggest "Make a backpack expansion dummy, then you could pick it up". Maybe a space suit has more room? Maybe I can make one without the large constructor. But this already killed the 'fun' for me.

To handle large items you need to use the "connected" toolbar.

Open logistics view with F4, then on the right side select the cargo box that has the large item. Between the two inventory windows there's a button that looks like a disconnected plug. Left click that and you will now be connected to the inventory of that box.

It's background will be yellow and the toolbar will now be yellow and empty. Place the large item from the cargo box in a toolbar slot and close the inventory screen. Make sure the item is selected in the toolbar and you can now place it as if it was in your regular toolbar.

In short, you no longer "pick it up" and carry it around. Instead you transfer/teleport it directly into linked storage of a nearby ship or base that has the vast capacity necessary to contain it (in some compressed or demolecularized form).

Ok, with the space suit, and getting rid of every last item I was able to. Then I used it, went to sleep, woke up and my >>Fridge Vanished<< along with all my food. What on earth (or whatever this planet is called)??

This is a Bug. I usually lose the last item i place before i drop a Solar Panel. Luckily this time the cargo box was empty.
