Best way to get pentaxid?
The deposits are tiny. You can hop around in a CV and collect surface ones on moons but is there any better way?

Searched an asteroid field for it but couldn't find any after going all over it. (Yes it has them according to the map) I'll try again.

The moons generally are the best in my opinion for ease. Asteroids take too long to find. On the moon it's usually clustered in big areas that aren't too hard to get, there are also underground veins there. I also buy all of it that I find at any traders.

High mountains seem to have them too. I know snow planets do but I have seen them in other high places on other planet types.

Also, after you clear all the deposits on the moon metoers fall that contain 400+ pentaxid. Once you clear one another will fall.

Great way of farming.

Asteroids in space can be hard to find but if the map says theres some there, there is some there somewhere.
If its a custom map, I have seen many times the roids placed at wrong co-ords and not ending up in the asteroid belt of field making them almost impossible to find.

If you use an asteroid ring when making a planets space playfield, the ring will scale itself to the planets size, so a size 1 planets roids are in a completely different position than a size 5 planet for obvious reasons, but if you dont also change every single recourse roids co-ordinated to match as they are NOT automatically scaled then they can end up miles from asteroid field or inside the planet, its pretty extreme the results.

If your on a server, get on chat and ask if others have found roids in that playfield.

If your in SP, open console and type map
hit enter and they will show up on map.

Yeah, I kinda noticed the asteroids I did find in an asteroid field were on the outside of the field. Also in a ring they were higher or lower than the ring itself.
