Repair bay, template area blocked, yet repairs work :S

Is there an easy way to find out what is blockin the repair bay and stopping it working,
It works fine when it is to only repair blocks but if i try to repair to template it claims the repair area is blocked...

how do i find out whats blockin the area, or is it due the to the ship design changing after the template was made?

So no matter what shape your ship is, from its furtherest most point left right, up down, front to back the bounding box for repairs is that big, so imagine a huge box around ship, no part can intrude into another block , keep in mind things like turrets are actually a touch bigger than they look, the game see's them as the whole voxel, you see the nice 3d model inside that voxel, so if you leave a 3 bloch gap around the entire rectangle bounding box of ship it should work.

Ive been repairing a triangular ship all week in Venatus server so its definately working, must be just touching a block somewhere or intruding on one's voxel.

Same issue...need help...i can repair blocks but not repair to template...

You can only repair to template with a T2 repair bay.

You can only repair to template with a CURRENT template: If you added ANY block since the last save it will not work.

Thanks BlazeD...finally i fond the way...i build a very tall landing place...puting all the stuf (repair bay, generators...) in the floor...then an elevator...i noticed that its better to not put a block in front of the repair bay block...just sides and back.it worked for me. Very nice to know what BlazeD said...watch out when you change your template...im always talking about a capital vessel...for little ones its easier cause you dont need a huge space that can be blocked.

Yes, Spanj's video clearly shows the imaginary box you have to draw, in your mind, around your ship. Then, look around to see what is touching that imaginary box. Include under the belly of the vehicle too. Also, make sure the power is turned off and all vehicles have been removed out of the inside and off the top of the one you want to repair to template.
