Yes its pretty dated mate at 2013 when it was released, even a 2015, GTX980 will eat it for breakfast and theres way better graphics cards out now.
Your card only has 2GB of video ram, Empyrion likes 4GB cards best.

And here are the specs of the rx550, this card was released in 2017 and really is a step backwards.

When you compare these cards for raw horsepower the GTX980 utterly smashes it and its much older.
The 980 has double the memory bandwidth at 224GB a second more cuda cores, more stream processor and a larger texture fill rate, its killing that card for lunch.
So when buying a graphics card its worth investigating them because card companies like nothing more than selling older tech as new tech !
To beat the 980 specs, even today, your going to be spending some serious dosh.
Want to get a card twice as good as a GTX 980 get a GTX 2080 or better the GTX 2080 ti !
And then morgage the house !

currently the only cpu's that can run this game are the new ryzens or intels. i would hold off to upgrade a pc tho until april when the new 64 lane chips come out and we can all gain benift from having graphics cards water cooled in sli
the other main bottlenexk is the HDD, without an m.2 drive you'll be suffering a serious hiccup as well
a solid amount of memory is needed that has a low cas and fast speed is still super expensive. i wouldnnt go above cas 17 preferable 14/15 and yoou need atleast 32gb because of the memory leaks.
in most cases theres not much performance gain of the 2080ti over the 1080ti ... the real way to upgrade your performance is going to be the processor at that point.
Memory: RAM: 8Gb
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Also @1080p lowest settings (with a few tweaked up). Game stored on HD.
30-60 fps. Other than occasional stuttering it works fine.
Edit: That's SP. Don't know about MP.
