Drone come too quietly
In my base I had two auto turrets and two drones came to visit, while i was thinking about my SV and refuling the generator. The blasts almost gave me a heart attack. Not to montion the broken glass windows.

Is it possible for the drones to do a robo noise or the turrets to squeek before they blast out out of complete silence? :)

I am also hoping in the next patch fora disablespiders console command. They freak me the ♥♥♥♥ out. They scatter outside a given FOV and then it gets tense. They are done really well. Pretty harmless but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scary

If you have a phobia, agreed. I think someone was talking about making a scenario where spiders were replaced by some other critter. It's not hard to do to the existing yamls in the playfield folder but without turning them into a scenario the yamls are replaced at some stage by an update.

There does seem to be enough interest I might make one. The problem is I'd have to keep it updated with any changes the devs make.

But changing the spider spawns is as easy as a notepad++ replace in files command, replace spiders with something else in all playfields.

It's just that.. they are so orginized.. You wait for one to jump you but he doesn't and the other pretends to jump you while teh first one goes out of FOV and then the 3rd makes a run towards you while you look for where the 2nd is at this instant. and then there is the the thought "WEre there really only 4"? and the first one does a flip flop and you go "Why"? They are so happy to freak me out. :D.

When you meet one big raptor and you spray him and then you think he is dead and then you realize he is alive and so does he. Then you know it is the end. unless you have heavy armor. I like it better. One big problem. Not 4 or 6 little spiders.

I think I'm going to make a humanoid only scenario and that's that. And they are not allowed to make Huge raptor noises.

Run. Jump. Keep moving. With the spiders, when they run away from you pick one and hunt it down. Keep moving and side-stepping. Before long you'l find taking on 7 or 8 at a time rather easy.

I've done my army service, I take 7 out and they don't touch me. But the few mintues are so tense. I'd rather fight humaniods.

What's your weapon of choice against them? mine is the shotgun.

They really should change the spider AI. Spiders are not typically social creatures and so they shouldn't attack as a group like they do.

AR. I'm not so accurate so I found half the time my first shot with the shotgun would miss. With an AR, missing the first shot doesn't matter as there's plenty more much faster than with a shotty. :)

With an AR you have to hit so many times and the clock is ticking and everyhing gets more and more tense.

But, with a shotgun, you wait, even while running, aim steady, wait for the spider to be dead close and give him one to the head. Then you get a a courage +50 boost as well. :D Find tour self shouting curse words at dead alien spiders just after the shot.

Much easier to hit with Shotgun. You just have to wait till they get REAL close. LOL

They have nerfed the spiders badly. You can atually kill a pack of them now with the Survival Tool. Just run after them.

lol. Each to his own. AR takes out drones and bigger critters at a distance so I only need to carry one weapon. :p
