Force fields
I have 'aquired' 3 forcields but can't work out how/where to deploy them. Can anyone help please

You can use them as a door, you can walk tru, but keep your air in base/ship

ya, they are useful if you use Ramps as 'doors', because the Ramps are not airtight.

Put the forcefield blocks in your tool belt like would would any building block. Right click as you have the number selected to see your size options. When placing, watch where the stick like structure is oriented as this small area is where you point to disassemble it if needed. As mentioned, forcefields will keep you airtight. They do have a minimal HP factor though. Hope this helps

Forcefields keep an area airtight without having to build a structure.
Here i have used them to make a hangar door that doesn't have to be opened (for quick fighter launch):

In this screenshot i used tham to make an outside garden area for my grow plots:

You can also use them around the flight seat in a cv to protect the pilot in the event the hull gets compromised, just be sure to also enclose a ventilator !
