Ground Leveling Tool? Still available?

Afternoon all... wondering if this tool is still around or how I may a flat surface?

Yep blue ore tool does it now.

I don't see a "blue ore tool" in my tech tree... are you talking about a "multi-tool"?

I looked in the menu for the "drill" and don't see anything related to leveling the ground... please explain...

Tier 2 handheld drill, right click for radial menu, choose 'Flattening'

The problem is that it doesn't really "flatten" the ground. It just digs without collecting anything.

As far as I can tell, it can dig terrain without raisin terrain. You might be trying to flatten ground that is below the spot you're standing on, in which case, theres nothing for the tool to do.

The hand held laser drill will raise and flaten the ground. when using the flaten feature it will not collect anything and it will only flaten to the level you are standing on.

Well I'll be dipped. It does work now. All it did when I've tried it before was dig holes in the ground.

It also still doesn't know how to flatten/smooth at any planar degree other than zero; no allowance for an arbitrary degree for the plane, for instance to make a natural ramp. Even Planet Explorers allowed that, fer chrissake. Well, okay... technically you can flatten the ceiling above (at 180) what you're flattening (at 0) by aiming the drill ONLY AT THE GROUND, which if you miss no spots will create a parallel flat ceiling about two(?) blocks high, but that is all the flexibility you're allowed.
