Autominer cores, and where to find them?
So i've finnally unlocked Autominers atleast the t1 version, but you cant build the cores component it seems.

So where to find atleast one that is atleast reasonable to get?

Miner trader
Purple alien crates (3-5)
Red alien crates (sometimes 2)
Not sure about the yellow ones, i mean i had some in them weeks ago, but that can be a wrong memory.

Sadly i havent encountered any of those yet, and gotta find that miner trader.
Is he/she on the planet or up in space?

Abandoned pois have a over average amount of them, but still well hidden inside

The trader you cant find on the starterplanet, it depends on the tradingstation which has one. Mining hubs have allways one

the t1 am's are really slow, if ur buying cores i might suggest waiting till atleast t2 before using 10k+ credit cores for them, but thats just me really, i always wait and only make a cpl t2's till i can make the t3's because of the cost

Seems everything t1 is really bad, my experience with the t1 HV miners is less then stellar lets say.
Was hoping to use atleast t1 autominers would help elivate that problem a bit, but geuss using the t2 hand drill is the beter option maybe : /

When you are new, the T1 drill beats the pants off the survival tool in much the same way the T2 beats the pants off the T1 drill. Multipy this by 100 for the auto-miner levels.

the t1 drills on the vehicle yes, they when it comes to actually harvesting resources they definately are much beter. However sadly the drills constantly cause instability in the vehicle and make the vehicle difficult to control, lose stability and so forth.

Autominers are a situational item.
The outputs are T1=100, T2=200,T3=400 MAX per hour.
The deposit size modifies this by approximatly: small=0.25, medium=0.5, large=0.8, very large=1.0 (Untested)

A T1 on a small dep will be 25 ore per hour.
A T3 on same is 100.

I haven't figured the powre/hr rate yet.

I just do it manually til I can make T3. Then use them on medium+ only.

EDIT: Forgot to mention they only work when you are on the same Playfield so if you drop them and go to space or another planet they stop.

That isn't as much of a problem if you find a good mining hv on the workshop though, those can be very effective at gathering resources.

Already got one from the workshop, but the drills are just such a huge influence on the HV making it all go rolly polly regardless, and it not at the same time doing a flattening making the ground all jagged up.

The Devs should really tweak those T1 HV drills in a major way, make them no longer have these huge physic forces on them at all, and just only chew away the stone.

The HV drill instability is more a Hover engine issue, they react badly to the uneven surface the drills leave. Theres a video on it.

Then why sometimes, my vehicle gets launched straight into the air?
Or more like Why does it pull to specifically the left so hard.
