make exeptions for the exes in the game's main folder. its a false flag over the way empyrion protects its code.

i dont know what happen to cause it, but after a restart and validation, i deleted the values of the results in my quarantined thing and it started working fine again, it was too weird

if you did this as well and it still doesnt work you will have to put the destination of the exe into the exceptions in your anti__ (malwarebytes?) it will be

main screen (dashboard) - > settings - > - "Exclusions" tab at the top - > - Add Exclusion button at the bottom of window - > - Exclude a File or Folder

my system is heavily over qualified to run the game but this is what fixed it.
in malwarebytes, i looked into my quarantine and noticed 2 items that lead to the empyrion exe.
restored those and its fixed. for good measure i made an exception in malwarebytes to not look at the empyrion folder. i expect no further problems.
first time its ever happened for me and id rather it be due to an aggressive anti virus than something actually malicious.
hope that helps someone anyway. pretty much the same thing hunt just did.

Probably empyrion devs started cheking the users pc for finding more bug and issuses.

this is not the game or devs doing anything, its an update to the virus defs of w/e AV software that 'thinks' its finding a virus when it isnt (false positive)
if you care to, you could report it to that AV software for them to fix, or just make an exception

games use memory in a manner similar to many virus's, its up to the AV software to tell the difference

There are no viruses in Empyrion, or from Eleon Games Studio, Ive had data coming from them from before public release, when we downloaded the game from dropbox and literally decompressed it and played it in testing and for around 5 years now, not one single bit of malware, Eleon are not even interested in collecting metadata from there playerbase, so I know there is nothing nasty in Eleon software.

Its definately a false positive.

i wasnt trying to say there was, i was just saying there was some kind of bug of some sort that triggered it for some weird reason, this is the first time its happen to me (ever), and it managed to correct its self with a little intervention

A bug would imply an error in the code. This is not a bug. Your av is operating as intended when it sees code/programs that it identifies as malicious. It is on you to make the final call of Wether or not to accept the programs it flags.

Had the same issue. Blocked and quarantined by malwarebytes. I made an exception for the .exe and after 15 more hours, I've seen nothing that could be considered malicious thus far.
