1 - download and installation of a Steam Workshop scenario
subscribe to the scenerio normally thru steam, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\383120 and find the correct subscription
copy this folder to your \\EmpyrionDedicatedServer\Content\Scenarios folder and rename it to the correct scenerio name
finally edit the last line of your dedicated.yaml from CustomScenario: Default Akua-Omicron to CustomScenario: <your new scenerio name>
2 - configuring my server/scenario or whatever is necessary so the POI's and resources
before starting the new server check the gameoptions.yaml inside the scenerio folder you copied in the above step - uncomment or make sure that the line RegeneratePOIs: True reads true
no idea about the resources though
3 - configuring my server for PVE
in that same scenerio folder from above you would have to go into each \\playfields folder and edit the playfield.yaml line PvP: False
edit:
i should mention im no expert with servers, i do run a local server to test with but ...
i have not personally tried everything i give above, some of it comes from my not so great memory of what ive read and may not be entirely correct
edit2:
it may be necessary to remove any old game saves to get the server to create a new one with the edits, if so move or delete the contents of both the Games & Cache folders from here \\EmpyrionDedicatedServer\Saves\
I really appreciate your reply, I think this will at least get our server into a more multiplayer environment. We've wiped out the planets available to us with our host's available files. Once the poi's have been salvaged and resources mined, there's nothing left for us to do, and there's only 3 of us at the moment.
Sorry for the necro- but TY for this. Couldn't remember where steam saved the workshop subs for the life of me...
