Cargo Weight
I noticed As I Load a Vessel With Cargo or SVs / HVs, There seems to be no weight calculations affecting ship performane. Each SV/HV docked to a CV should add its mass to CV for balance and performance.Items in cargo containers should add to balance and performance of SVs/ HVs.

Agreed. They may add something like that eventually.

End of all Base ships

Just end to bad base ships - just means having to design based on expected thrust/weight.

If the additional weight would have any influence on smaller ships it would end up as impossible weight for base ships.

If a Crate of Ingots or blocks (36000) would impact a Sv on a decent way whats with a Mobile base with more than 10 000 000 ingots and or blocks in the crates.

I like the idea, but if you follow the thought far enough you can allready imagine all the "Mimimi my ship cant fly" threads

TBH aleady gets dealt with in SE on a daily basis...Build to specs of what the role/job is.

If your hauling 10 000 000 ingots - either you already planned to haul that much, or good time to add some extra thrusters :)

Actually would a good fun if you forgot to check the grav of a planet and found yourself stuck on it due to lack of thrust to escape into low orbit and had to call guildies for help etc, thats where some of the best adventures and fun comes from.

Now, if you also add in automationa nd scripting at the same time :), you could create smaller autonomous haulers/drones even more of a win :)

Maybe with a ability to dock Hv to SV and CV to CV it could make sense.
But until then there is no "Add a few additional Thruster"

I guess if i would play serious Multiplayer after 2 Month my stock would be so big that there would be no way to add enough thrusters.

But how much stock to you really need to haul around - spreading it out over different locations would also mean not losing it all should you lose the ship etc.

Again, it's not somthing new, SE your mobile miner can only mine so much before...weel 1 its performance and flight dynamics becomes sluggish (never go top speed when loaded :P ) or 2 overloaded and your stuck on the ground untill you lighten it up - granted you can also get real time stats output to a LCD screen on the miner to see when your close to limit etc same with cap ships or fighters/dropships etc, again, build to the spec of the role and never have eveything you own in 1 location due to the risk of losing it all. Granted that is for MP for SP can can always mod it out or make stuff weigh nothing I guess.

I agree with one point here...nothing and no one should have unlimited cargo capacity or weight capacity. its immersion killing to people who like to plan things ahead of time. the only restriction I found in this game so far was the amount of stuff my backpack can hold..lol but yes...there needs to be an understanding up front about what weight any vehicle can hold. its just being more realisitic thats all.

please no. you can oversimulate a _game_!

it's maybe a game, but no freight weight make the "game" to "basic"...
Add wheels in the game to carry tons and tons of stuf....
You should not be able to carry tons of stuf in the air without massive fuel usage and thrusters...

But yes, they have to do something about inventory management...

Annnnd then we get into thrusters should also damage/destroy any blocks behind the outlet :)

The game you seek is called Space engineers... and good luck with that.

It is possible to enjoy more than 1 game of similar genre too :) - and yes I host dedicated servers for both - and the MP testing for SE looks very promising if you look at some of the playest videos (not keen ones - but community ones).

as i said, if weight would be a way that it matters = Death of Mobile bases = Death of Nomad Gameplay for all who like a full stock

And btw to fill that 280 Crates you need arround 40 Hours

Empyrion is not space engineers. There are some things on both sides that would be liked. This is not one.

Adding weight to cargo blocks is just dumb. Sorry. But it is. Unless/until empyrion fixes the CV /sv sliding sideways etc I don't see how this will ever be a good idea.

It's already incredibly difficult to perfectly balance any ship, adding a fluid weight dynamic is bad.
