Magnesium, where is it?

I'm playing Elia Dawn of Galaxy and can't find it on the planet, astroid belt or moon?

I had a heap of rockets but they were lost on my 1st attempt to attack the invading spaceship and I don't think I'm going to be able to raid the ship without rockets.

I can't buy it from the only source I found so far MA Corp mining merchant for some very strange reason. It only has the credit box ticked and no cash box.

Aitis has an 1800 magnesium deposit.
Masperon has 1200 and 314 ore deposits.
Masperon moon has a 4300 deposit.
Alien Outpost has a magnesium asteroid.

These are rough numbers but should get you started. I got a ton on Masperon Moon. Made several thousand mag powders.

Just noticed you are playing a custom map. Not sure if these planets are there. Sorry for the confusion.

Might have to buy magnesium from the traders. Until then, equip gatlings. You can do a pile of damage with 3 of them. If you are able, install jet thrusters for extra speed.

Haven't the warp drive yet to get to any of the other planets. Just the moom and Elia and astroid belt.

Have tried to buy it from MA Corp merchant(no other merchant has it) on the space station but only the credit box is active and no buy box to allow me to buy it. I already have 6 gattling guns with completely protected SV with hardened steel. I've come as close as 100m from one of the turrets, blasting it the whole time with the gattlings, and it hardly left a scratch on the SV but shot away most of the gattling guns without taking out the turret.

I may have to go back to an earlier save as it's kind of a game breaker. I chose to use this map as it's set on easy and has, up until now, been a good way to learn about the game.

I just wish I could figure out this merchant and why I can't buy the mag from him/it/her?

Technically, the traders should buy stuff from you as well as sell. Maybe the trader config file has not been updated. You could either console yourself the materials you need or simulate a trade by making 3 or 4 T2 drills and then delete them and use the console to give yourself the equivalent amount of magnesium.

T2 Drill worth 3605 credits to sell.
Magnesium powder is 39 credits to buy.

Enter ItemMenu in the console, press escape, then press H and search for Magnesium.

Seems a shame to give up when it's just a config issue.

Yeah, rockets are the way to go, to take out turrets. I used to use rail guns, but the last time I tried them they did zero dammage to turrets. I get Magnesium by selling items for cash and buying Magnesuim. Most of the Magnesium deposits aren't worth the fuel to mine.
