Signals/Logic
Are there any good guides for this aspect of the game?

Started messing with the signals/logic side of the game but, I am basically experimenting blindly at the moment.

I was trying to get a hangar door to open using motion sensors on either side. I can only seem to get the sensor working from one direction. Anyone any idea how to get around this and other signal/logic issues I may encounter as I start to automate aspects of our base.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Worked out the hangar door part but, still looking for a good guide. Cheers in advance for any help.
Watch a guide.
There are quite a few youtube guides on signal logic, tried to find a good one to link but didn't have time to watch more than one to see if it's helpful, so here's the youtube search page:

edit: here's one that explains sensor use pretty well:

the first one by spanj is good but doesn't go into depth on motion sensors

For what you're trying to do - two different senors controling one object (hangar door in this case) you'll need to add a logic gate/circuit. In signal logic hit add circuit, use OR (XOR would work also), then in the first two boxes on that circuit add the signal output from both sensors, and in the output box type a signal name and apply that to the door.

Although for doors, I typically just use one sensor and extend it's range beyond both sides of the door - motion senors can 'sense' or detect through solid objects fine (you can even bury them surrounded by metal). Set the motion sensor's detect range by selecting it in device list and hitting interactive setup, then adjusting the red box to the area you want to trigger a signal.
Nice 1 trig. I am not really one for watching vids to learn. I am a little conventional in that I tend to read guides rather than watch them and apply what I am learning from the written/printed word. Thanks for additional advice though. Much appreciated.

I am the same way. A well written guide is much better than a video. But, any help is appreciated, so off to watch a video. I was just about the post the same question on these topics. Glad I found this.

Off to watch this video now.
