What are some goals
What are some goals in your games?
From what I understand, 1. survival 2. raid POIs

But then nothing right?

There working on that though, for now you can play through the first part of the story, then like you said raid POIs and wait for more of the story to be installed.
MP has a large advantage with this, fighting other people is the MOST unpredictable war you can get and if your into MP that can keep the game alive for you for a long time, and Empyrion has servers with well over 50 players in them, rare for this genre and type of game.

Story elements and more lore are being added so there will be an end goal for the game some day. Until then it's just survive, build, and raid.

Wrymn, what can i say.
People asked more for larger planets than a aim.
I hope at least it helps the sell values more than the gameplay.

Depends on what you want to do.

If you like building things, then yes.
If you like exploring new worlds then yes
If you like traveling though space and seeing new stuff, then yes.
If you like building stuff and testing it out, then yes.
If you like blowing stuff up then yes
If you like good music while traveling and trading, then yes.

If you like a good story, then no (well at least not yet anyway).

But I got to tell you without the story. The other things just don't keep me
interested for very long.

I make my own goals. Like build a base on every planet. Or build that CV I designed in creative that has a 30 hour cook time. Or kill all Alia. pois on every planet. Lots you can do until the story gets fleshed out

Sills the problem is that what you count there is all about a big empty world ^^

I share wryms opinion that as soon as you got a Small CV a Bomber SV and a Scout/Shuttle there is nothing more you are really asked to do you cant

Hope for A9
After experimental 8 i move on to 7D2D (Their Experimental start in a few days/weeks) because of this and that multiplayer is broken in empyrion

Btw i completly understand selfimposed goals. Use them too, sadly there is not much challenge left i didnt tryed/solved

I go back and forth between this and 7days. I get the complaint I just spend most of my time in creative here then try to make sure the ships are actually

We really need more of a pve element, right now you get the odd drone attack which is easily
fought off with a few cheap turrets and then other than if you're building fresh on a world with
a patrol vessel you're more or less safe with no reason to build any thing more powerful.

As we raid more bases and cause ourselves to have a larger footprint the aliens
should start taking more notice, sending large waves of heavy drones, infantry with artillery
and armor support, multiple patrol vessels that can put a well defended base to the test and eventually when the aliens have had enough of your ♥♥♥♥ an orbitial bombardment forcing
you to take a cv into space to fight them. even sending groups of bounty hunters to scearch
for you if you try to stay mobile and sneaky.

Thing is most of the systems for these ideas more or less exist in the game now
so I hope we can get this sort of stuff in the future.

my goal, total solar system domination i leave no ailein in a poi alive , i sometimes just leave a giant hole in the ground where a poi once was to teach them a leason and well just because i can.
