Trying to make sense of an error log (nvwgf2umx.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module nvwgf2umx.dll at 0033:3215b527.)

I tried loading up Empyrion, and a second or two after loading, the game crashes and gives me an error log. It says the error was:

nvwgf2umx.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module nvwgf2umx.dll at 0033:3215b527.

and then

Read from location 00000018 caused an access violation.


I am using a laptop that I recently replaced a dead HDD on and did a clean install of windows. The specs are as follows:

8gb ram
1tb 5400 rpm hdd
i7 6700hq
Nvidia gtx 950m
Win 10 64bit

The game launched fine before the dead HDD, and I have tried everything I can think of short of reinstalling the game and running in DX9 mode.

Basically I want to know what nvwgf2umx.dll to see if I can fix it.

I should note that I have been having trouble launching a couple other unity games (Infinite load but no crash log) and I did install unity 5 to try and fix it but that changed nothing.
