Which other multiplayer games are working for you? What kind of line are you on?
Which mulitplayer games are you able to currently join right now? One gets that impression that the problem is not at all "joining" but rather staying connected, because you are able to browse servers, so I am going to suspect routing or packet loss is a problem, do you use dyndns? Have you rebooted router? Are there any other connectivity symptoms you are not telling us about, sicne it's looking like one needs to just have a look into the log files.
1. try to join a game, then exit empyrion.
2. open the logs folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Logs
3. find the topmost flder, and the topmost file, normally you post this file to Eleon support, but you can probably read the file now, and if it still does not make sense, paste it in here and we might be able to divine the cause for you.
Best of luck
Z
I don't know much more, maybe it has something to do with port forwarding or something like that that you need to do inside the game configurations?
That.
Sorry for the bump, but I've stop playing Empyrion shortly after this issue. As of reading more about the new update, I decided to give this game another crack.
The problem still persist, regardless of which server I join. For example, I joined the HWS server yesterday and were enjoying myself for an hour or two. Come back on it this morning and I can't connect to HWS OR any other server.
Have a look at this.

this looks like an EAC problem which is hard to track. You are the second player reporting it regarding HWS.
While nothing changed on our site and a lot of others can connect fine it seems either your setup or EAC changed something.
My observation for example is that if I want to play Fortnite recently, I have to close Empyrion because they integrated EAC in such a way that it is in conflict with other EAC games.
Maybe this helps or some reinstallation on your end.
Greetings
RexXxuS
Eyyy first time launching EAC manually and it works! Thank you! I'll let you know if the problem still persist. To answer your question, single player works like a charm and my speed test is showing nothing out of the ordinary.
This smells like something your system/steam resets each time you play, or maybe something dependent on your ability to connect to the EAC server when you launch the game? :-|
One thing you could try is to completely reinstall EAC for the game in the EGS EAC sub-folder. The correct procedure is described here:
https://support.easyanticheat.net/kb/installer/setup/?lr=en-us
(select Empyrion Galactic Survival from the list)
