spider nests

I don't understand the reason for the nests! I can't find a way to destroy them and when you dig them up they remain in the air...

I hope (but doubt) that it's an unfinished POI. There are many, many missed opportunities within this game for engaging content. The Spider Nest is one of them.

Two different loot ables under the ground around the big one. Crate/s and barrel/s. Set tool to salvage and salvage the xenox stuff, can`t recall what it is named, a building material.

Yes, that's why I dug them up, but they then float in the air. Maybe baby spiders fall to their death when the hatch!

You can destroy those nests. Like Mathaniel said, use the tool set to salvage. You can also shoot them with guns or use explosives on them.... lots and lots of work to get them out.... but you can do it. Think outside the box.

I did try shooting and explosives. My T2 tool didn't do anything either.

You have settings on Multi and survival tools. Salvage on both I`m pretty sure. R click to change settings on both I think.

Can I second this? I can't "damage the target with this weapon" or any other of em, there is no core to destroy, there is no loot...

There are two different loot able containers "under" the objects. Loot the flora, and then mine under the objects on the ground. there are barrel/s and chest/s. Never found much in either and I start a LOT of new games.

Spiders = regular food and XP. No need to remove the nest. :)

Once in a while in those containers, there is some stuff you don`t get early game.
