Using wood/ore container

How do you use the thing? I build the ladybug miner from blueprints but I would like to harvest that ore. I added a storage box that didn’t work, then I added the wood/ore crate and that didn’t work.
What am I doing wrong?
I’d like to be able to mine with the hover and have the mined ore end up in a storage box.

Normally, you just have to add a container controller (wood/ore) and as many container extensions as you want / need. Anything mined by the drills should be deposited in the container automatically. At least, that's what happened when I built a miner of my own.
Does the blueprint maybe already have the necessary containers?

Is that an outdated design without the proper container controllers and container extensions? There are many drill HV's on the workshop, I think I would just grab one that was updated and you shouldn't have much of an issue. That would save you a lot of re-design as well.

Didn’t see any but I thought it was strange that it didn’t.
Do the mining “drills” need to be directly attached to the ore container?

No, they don't. Just build them wherever on your miner.

Hi Fanatical Meat.
Have you also tried to add the harvester component, i think you also need this on a HV to be able to collect the wood and ores you mine, i think that is why your containers are not working right yet.
