Where the hell do i find berries and vegetables?

i just got this game and ive been roaming around for hours trying to find a single vegetable, berry, or plant protein. All ive found are dozens of herbal leaves natural sweeteners and buds

actually it turns out its only been 78 minutes but ♥♥♥♥ it felt like an eternity

You need to explore other biomes, not just the Forest biome. Marshes are good for finding grain and plant protein (little hotdog looking plants).

Finding plants for a beginner can be tricky until you begin to recognize what plants are able to be harvested and what they produce. Check the Emperion wiki to which models are used for the plants:

Berries: Big bush trees, a bit rare
Plant Protein (which is the most common one right after plant fiber), 2 different kind : either blue-ish "normal looking" grass/flowers the height of about half your character. Or a small red-ish plant with a couple of stubby stiff "tentacles" (which dont move).
Vegetables: Actually dont remember right now, Only thing I can say is that they dont look like no vegetable from earth.

What type of planet are you on? The different planets have different looking plants. Temp has berries while arid has the space oranges and so on.

Sometimes they look like Eggs, but growing Eggs.....

depends on planet,arid one can be tricky i restarted my game on arid planet and i can say it can be tricky to find one unless u find oasis or polaris farm facility(befriending polaris is very helpfull on this one).
Temperate one for plant fibers cut trees down,find egg like looking planet and u got vegetables.Berries are hardest to find u must watch for bushes or little trees with violet fruits
