How to find enemy core?
Is there an easy way to find the core in a enemy base so you can destroy it instead of going bananas with your multitool to remove every singel block?

bottom level, in the middle usually

look at your distancer before you enter a base, it tells you how far away from the core you are before you even enter it, use this to estimate where the core is, I usually start to make my entrys with C4s on the walls/floors when im within 20-30m of it.

Afaik, auto-aiming turrets on CV's tend to fire "towards" the core, although in my experience it's aim is a bit above it. You can watch where it hits and judge from there.

I experimented with placing a pair of turrets about 100 meters apart and watching where the fire patterns converged. It works, but it's pretty ammo intensive, particularly on a large, deep POI. There's also the risk of destroying something you'd much rather keep.

Look for the tag. That gives you a direct indication of where the core is. Head toward the tag until you can't see it any more then judge where it was from there because you'll be quite close.

This is incorrect. It may work for a few early bases, but not all of them. As an example, try this with a drone base. The tag shows up in the top of the building, yet the core is like 2-3 floors underground, nowhere close to the tag.

Yes youre right when a base is first created the tag will be near the core, but you can later remove the core and then have it at the outscurts of your base and the tag will still be on the same place as it was as the base was first created.

Wow, didn't know that. Helpful little trick

If I remember rightly, the base tag is generally at the center of mass. Human nature often places the core near here by coincidence. We tend to start things in the middle and move outwards. Ergo the tag and core appear to be related, but really aren't.

Nah, as I said the drone base has the tag at the very tip of the tower, which would hardly be the center of mass. Go look.
