That's a limitation of current techonlogy. They would have to do some serious raytracing for it to work realistically, which is beyond the scope of any realtime engine. Ambient light will always affect every surface regardless of a shadow being cast on it, and ambient light is what changes during the day and night cycles.
SV and HV spot light is 30m so eh ?
Lights cause shadows, game is EA, what do you expect.
Stopping all light through wall, hahaha, you guys are askign for more processing or should I say lag....so eh ?
Underground lighting is not dynamic lighting, its the same system used to light the planets above surface so it uses alot less processing power.
Anyway, iti s what it is.
I haven't tested it, but I suspect ambient daylight uses a completely different system, and so underground will still see a change in lighting due to time of day.
Maybe you should just stop repressing your true feelings and ask Piddlefoot out on a date. Seize the moment, man!
