Dedicated server, high resources, starter pack
Hi guys,

im running my own dedicated server. I have 2 problems so far.

1. High resource pot
i have tried to alter some lines in notepad++ but nothing worked. Here is what ive tried so far:
I did open Dedicated.yaml and altered

DiffAmountOfOre: Rich # Rich, Normal, Poor --- Influences the average amount of ore that a deposit contains
DiffNumberOfDeposits: Plenty # Plenty, Normal, Few --- Influences the average number of deposits per planet

after that i tried to alter Bioms {playfields]. I made copy of Temperature and re-named it to Temperate3 ... I opened up Temperate3 in notepad++ and altered

It looks like CounMinMax worked but amout of ore in one deposit did not changet at all.
I have tried a few other but no change. I started a fresh one a few times.
Ive seen some servers had 500 000 ore in one deposit. I could put them in manualy but i dont wanna mess with coordinates. any ideas?
Im not running TelNet client, not sure about that :D

2.Inventory set-up

I wanted to make better starer pack. I did some searching.. I opened up Starter Pack.XML in notepad and altered some ID and amouts, add 2 weapons but nothing changed. I chosed Id from ITEMS folder.

Could you tell me where i have failed?

I don't think you should have changed the Dedicated.yaml, but I'll load up a server right fast and check that to be sure, as for the starter pack, are you talking about the gear you get when you land in the escape pod or the chat bot starter pack?

yeahh, i ment gear you get when you appear on planet, i didnt alter anything with escape pod.... about the Dedicated.yaml .. i thought there might be something. so i should alter just bioms i want?

I just loaded up a test server, I did not alter the dedicated, just the playfields and all the ore loaded to the settings I gave it, Mine was a fresh start server, I don't think you will have to delete the server and start it fresh over but you will have to delete any already visited playfields for the settings to take effect. as for the starting load out, you have to change the Escape pod contents, the starter Pack.xml is part of Chat Bot and is the gear given to the player when they type cb:survival in chat IF you have chatbot turned on.

Unless they have changed stuff in the last couple of patches, your Size Min Max settings may be to high to register...
It's not actually 200 ore to 300,000 ore...
I'm not sure what math or percentages they use for that size min max number, but raising my custom SP scenarios to 8, 9 or 8 , 14 or whatever always gave me several thousand ore in that deposit... Sometimes as much as 20,000...

So try setting it to like 15, 25 or something along those lines, then test it, if it works raise it a bit more, and rinse and repeat untill you get your desired results...
The highest I ever raised one is 12, 14... So I know for a fact that works and when the dice roll is good you can get some 20K ore nodes on the high end... (It was SP games, I had no need for more)

Nighting is correct, your basically outside of the peramitter of what it can eb set to.

Adjust it back to 14 and you will have huge Ore deposits.

Probably worth mentioning too that your count size is so big, when you have ore deposits spawn on the high end you will have Ore deposits under every POI on the planet LOL... Theres just not enough room for all that... let me check my Screenshots... Yep, I have one....

This one is a modified voodoo planet I think... It's probably set to 8, 10 or 8, 12 or something on the count on the Ore Deposits, with the settings set to Rich Plenty...

Found another one I modified with the Ore count set high... This one is most likely 8, 14 on some of the Ore node counts that ya see 24 of em, and the settings of Rich Plenty...

As for Personal Starting Items... Here in the first one is where ya adjust the personal container, and the 2nd set is where ya adjust the personal items in your inventory... this is straight from an old yaml I had modified for an extremely easy start...
