Trading stuff in the game

Is trading working yet? The reason I ask is becuase I have some stuff I wanted to sell, but it won't let me. I followed the instructions but at the end, the 'Create Sale Item' or whatever button is sti greyed out. The only thing I can think of is that I don;t have enugh credits to 'pay' for the thing. My question is, if I can't sell stuff, how do I get credits so I can afford to sell stuff?

(Yes I was at the trading station, at the terminal, just like the instructions tell you.)

Singleplayer, Mine gold and do missions to get gold coins and buy from the NPC's, there is currently no way to sell to the NPC's so mining gold and missions is the only way to get money right now.

If multiplayer and you don't see any requests for items for sale then chances are the market isn't active on that server. you could still do missions to get some credits or go mine some gold.

I have played on a few servers, I have yet to find one that actually uses the market now that they have made it so that the markets are limited to the playfield they are in.

Ahh, that answers my questions; thank you. I am playing on a private server with a friend, (Coop) so in our case it would have to be a 'Sell to NPC' type of scenario. I hope they either impliment it, or come up with a way to recycle all the extra junk folks like me tend to pick up while looting/raiding/mining and whatever else.

at one time you were able to enter a negitive number and sell items that way, but the devs said it was a bug and changed it. Unless it was causing some type of issue with the NPC's I don't see why they changed it, but yes, NPC's that will buy from you is something they are planning.

I don't know if the plan to add selling, if they don't, they should just remove the Trader NPC's.
