Hosting a local co-op server and need to have admin rights.

I have a co-op server running for me and a few friends. I need to access admin rights and cant seem to do that. One person was doing a blueprint and when he spawned it in to the world the game said it was spawned but their was no ship. I was going to do the command for spawnanyblueprint or open the itemmenu to give him the mats he used but I could not do this. I tried the setrole playername admin but it wouldnt allow me permission to make me an admin. So does anybody know how to give yourself admin rights on a local mp co-op server?

For you as the host of the game it should give you admin rights automatically.

To check go to here:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves

& open the adminconfig.yaml in notepad++

Look for this part:
- Id: YOURSTEAMIDGOESHERE
Permission: 9

Make your steam id number is there where I have put 'YOURSTEAMIDGOESHERE' with the permission being set to 9 for admin rights.

If you need to set it up because your id is not there of maybe the adminconfig.yaml is named something slightly different shut the game & server down after you have made changes then restart for those changes to take affect.

How old is the save game btw ?

It's a brand new game started last night and it is version 6.5.3.
I have tried making the changes you spoke of. Their was no id numbers or permissions set in the file. I added my id # and changed the permission to 9. But still does not work. I tried writing it in, in a few ways now and I cant seem to get it working.

A quick way to get your steamid if you don't know it is to go to here:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Blueprints

Then there should be a file which is named by a long group of numbers.
That is your steamid number.

No the elevated part is not in my file. I have and know my steam id by haert.

Can you try adding it Like shown above & replace the 'NUMBERSGOHERE' with your steamid number.

The file can be sensitive sometime if you don't get the layout correct so where it says elevated make sure you put that bottom part 1 space below this:

like this:
# 'Until' is the time when the ban ends.

Elevated:
- Id: NUMBERSGOHERE
Permission: 9

When its setup like my last post with your steamid in the correct place save the file & restart the game & server.

I did exactly what you said and now I get this when I start the game up, and this comes up as soon as the menu comes up.

Notice the P is directly under where it says id above it.

Ok this was on line 15 {} I deleted that and now the game fires up right and I now can use admin commands. Thank you for your help in this matter Pantera.
