Repair station?
What is the new repair station for, it doesn't have a tooltip. Does it repair the ship it's equiped on?

Weapons, tools, and armor suits now have Durability. They wear out as you use them (or armor gets hit), represented by the decreasing green bar on the side. Place these items in the Repair Station's inventory and click "Repair" to repair them. Note that each item can only be repaired a certain number of times, and the maximum durability (height of the green bar) decreases each time you repair it, so it's best to wait until an item's almost completely worn out before repairing it, instead of just topping it off whenever you can.

Huh, well guess I'll put one in the main hanger of the ship I'm building. Still wish there was a way to just have something heal the capital ship instead of having ot use a hand held repair gun.

Land your CV on a platform with a Repair Bay.
Power down your CV and the Repair Bay will 'heal' your ship.
For example, while I was on Ningues, I took the opportunity to take over the Small Patrol Base POI, since it was a handy ready made base large enough to park my CV on. I refitted the base with armourment and various devices including a Repair Bay on the landing platform. It all worked out nicely ;)

Yeah but all of my designs for CV ships leave it meant to be a mobile base itself. Having to waste fuel jumping across the system to get back to a central base seems as wasteful as building bases on each planet.

I mean, just wait until we are exploring a whole galexy. I just would rather a quicker way to self repair a CV class ship. I also would like the ability to place more repair bays too while I'm at it. >.>

Ah but the CV is not self repairing, quick or slow. That's the difference.
Does it repair the ship it's equiped on?
No, it doesn't.
The only reason I took this base and installed a repair bay in this base for the CV was simply out of curiosity. I had just destroyed and looted a shipyard in a nearby asteroid field and wanted to complete my elemental quest by hunting golems. Since there was a small patrol base here begging to be taken, I thought it would be a handy place to park the CV and have the repair bay repair it while hunting for golems in my SV. It also saved time having to build a base ;)
An amusing consequence of installing the 2 artillery turrets on this base meant that the nearby settlement lost it's core module within seconds, which saved me some more time too lol.
Generally, my CV takes very little damage in space combat and it's not a problem to manually patch the occasional dings and dents while in space. So, I have no intention of travelling back and forth to visit a repair bay on this or any other base.
