CV hanger dimensions
Hey Guys!

So Im building my CV and i have a rough shape of the hanger but then after looking some SVs in the workshop some questions arose.

> Do you even use in game hanger doors? (too small maybe?)
> Do most of the workshop SVs fit through that 14*7 door?
> What is your sweet spot for hanger doors? (Size)
> What is the average height from floor to ceiling?
> What is your preffered hanger size on a CV?

* Also read on official forum there might be energy fields coming- aka energy doors that woudl fit any opening- is that a nice rumour or a feature down the road?

K Thx in advance!

I usually use doors that are slightly larger than the small default one. As far as how high the hanger is I have built two story and three story hangers where the fighters tuck into small spots up top then you get in drop down and fly out through the door. There's a million different ways to configure a carrier.

One of my designs has my purpose built fighters hanging from the ceiling overhang of an open flight deck. It let me get ten fighters onboard with kids of room for transports and shuttles too

Remember the scale of blocks, too. SV/HV blocks are about 1/3 the size of CV/BA blocks. My little Razorback SV (made like a motorcycle, sort of) is about 8 blocks long, 3 blocks wide and 4 blocks tall...and fits inside of 1x3 CV blocks worth of space chipped out of my CV's upper hull.

For hangars, the coolest combo I have seen is two identical hangar doors mounted horizontally opposite each other, so the roof of a CV hangar bay opened up completely.

I have a CV design with a door on top and found it annoying that it opened every time I drove a CV or HV past it. Probably needed to disign that vehicle corridor a little better. =]
