How To Use Repair Bay?

If the base or CV that has the repair bay and the ship you are trying to repair are the same faction (ie. private, owned by the same person) then you land on it and shut the off the power of your ship. The repair bay must have enough power to run, I think it may just run more slowly if it is underpowered, can't remember. There have been issues with larger ships getting close enough to the repair bay, either getting the core directly over it or bringing some portion of the ship in direct contact may help.

As above, but the Base Repair Bay cube has this quirk where it takes several seconds to get started. It seems to be really bad for very large CV's, leading me to think it's the game trying to figure out what needs to be repaired.
I've found that sitting in the cockpit for a moment and then getting back out usually kickstarts the process.

I know it's probably silly, but check to ensure the brightly lit face of the repair bay cube is positioned so it can "see" your vehicle. (yes, I made that mistake a few times.)

The repair bay has a range of 3 blocks in all directions, you must have the ship attempting to receive repairs at least touching that area with at least one of its own blocks.

Will it replaces missing blocks?
Or only the block hitpoint?

Just the hitpoints.

It Seems to use and incredible amount of fuel
i had my ship on my landy pad added the repair bay turned it on and in a minute my fuel tank for the base was empty lucky i had plenty of spare fuel as drones were on their way and i have now added 2 more fuel takes and i have left it switched off. you could just watch the fuel cell going down about 1% every second.

There needs to be work done to better integrate the Repair Bay. If it does not restors missing blocks it is neigh useless right now, to anyone using workshop builds.

Also, when using the stock ships, nothing works regarding adding blocks to lower resources or time in the foundry. Am I missing something?

This is where the "platform" for bp spawning" requirement in the a7 update comes in, the devs said it's leading to "repair to blueprint".

Hull blocks usually seem to bring the time down, but I have not figured out beyond that, this update seems to have changed what brings the time down the most.
