Great game ...but why is my expensive computers fans going a million miles per hour ?

I can play for a few mins then shuts down due to over work. I can run star citizen with no issues . I should be able to run this. please fix. I love the game.

Sorry to hear about the performance issues you’re running into. One thing that may help in the meantime is checking whether the “unlimited FPS” setting is enabled, as that can sometimes cause GPUs to work much harder than expected and lead to overheating or loud fan usage.

I’ll definitely be looking into optimization and performance improvements as well. Thanks again for taking the time to report this it really helps!

the game defaulted to unlimited fps, pre-patch... which is silly. it's not a just you thing as a lot of demos just defaults to 4k, ultra, unlimited fps. (4k i get as my desktop is 4k, but the rest is just silly as i'm on an i5-6600 + 970)

weird thing is that driver has a max 60fps limit..

Enable V-Sync. (@dev should be enabled by default)

In the most recent patch, the game will have more reasonable defaults on launch, and some performance fixes.

I'll add V-Sync options to my todo list!

Looks like a heavy bug, I also had this, I presses esc, was just a minute afk, came back and pc restartet.
Maybe vsync gets desiabled if you open a menu.
