Not really, and your statement is absolutely meaningless.
Maybe backing up your statement with things you find bad would be helpful for the developer instead of just saying it's a bad copy. That would be like me saying in a room full of people that the weather outside is bad, when in reality a hurricane is racing toward the building where the room is with all those people.

From the very beginning of your sentence, we already have the answer to your "intervention".

No matter what I write now, it would always go on like you never contribute anything substantial. Just complaining, because you simply want to complain.
Yes, I wrote "not really" because it has similarities, but it’s not a 1:1 copy as you want to suggest. It clearly has similarities, that can’t be denied, but it also has game mechanics that I haven’t seen in Starforged. But if I look at it the way you do, every game I play is a copy of a copy of a copy, and so on, back to the first of its kind. But does that stop me from playing a newly released game? No.
I hope you feel better when you reply to me again, if you need to, then do that. Nothing more will come from me.
I wish you luck and health.

Yes.
Have you actually played Sublight? I have, and I own Starforged Legacy, and the similarities are not there.

Starforged Legacy:
-> Choose a path.
-> Fight a battle for ~3 to 5 minutes.
-> If successful, choose next path.
-> Keep doing so until reaching midboss. If survive, continue.
-> Keep doing so until reaching finalboss. If survive, can hit infinite run, and do another set.

Sublight:
-> Choose a mission.
-> Fight a battle for ~15 minutes.
-> Can choose to stay, and leave at any time.
-> Flagship arrives at ~30 minutes.
-> Fight until you cannot continue.

Starforged Legacy is all about speed, maneuvering, and line of sight. Weapon once picked is locked to a hardpoint. Each weapon levels up individually and its sometimes unclear how powerful it is. Some weapons have synergies, most don't. At level up you choose an ability that affects a single weapon. Combat is very arcadey and more like Night Swarm, but with a spaceship.

Sublight is all about feeling like you are commanding a capital ship. Slow, methodical, dangerous. Weapons have weight to them. Can swap them out at any time and change their target priorities. At level up you choose an ability that affects all weapons of a class or grants a powerful passive bonus. Combat is more like a strategic puzzle, with overwhelming odds and have to think about positioning significantly more, playing more like Death Must Die.
ahh the old released game vs game in development. I for one hope sublight ends up nothing like legacy. I played it and enjoyed it for what it is but hoping for bigger things from sublight.

Yes.

And it only takes 10 seconds to see that we're dealing with a clone...

But please, try convincing the children otherwise by writing a 20-page text; it might work, who knows...

You and I have very different views on what makes a game a clone.

Spear of Destiny was a clone of Wolfenstein 3D. Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, Corridor 7 and Nitemare 3D had some similarities, but had lots of things to set it above it being a simple clone.

Doom 2 was a clone of Doom 1. Hexen and Heretic had some similarities, but had lots of things to set it above it being a simple clone.

You can have similar features, without it being a clone.

Otherwise, you could argue that any games that copy the Vampire Survivors method are clones of Vampire Survivors. Which would then make both Starforged Legacy and Sublight Clones.

So which is it, bud? Are they both clones of Vampire Survivors or are they two separate entities with similiarities to Vampire Survivors. They certainly are not clones of eachother.

Blind people like you need to be told they're right.

Yes, you're right. It's a blatant rip-off of Starforged Legacy, it's obvious on every level, but according to you, it isn't.

LOL
Fine I tried. Blocked. You are just trolling now.

I couldn't care less about being blocked by a blind person...

You're just writing this to tell everyone, "He doesn't agree with me, so you have to block him too."

To claim that I'm trolling when I'm telling the truth is a highly dubious assertion, punishable by law.

Now go pack your bag, you have school tomorrow.
You aren't the telling the truth.

Either both games are clones of Vampire Survivors OR they aren't clones of eachother.

Its one of the two.

You are just manipulating things to suit your perpsective by cherry picking information.

I'm not engaging with someone that has a revisionistic view on what a clone is. You are the one telling the falsehoods and if it went to court, you'd be the one in trouble. So go ahead, make your threats. I'll be here waiting for your lawsuit.

To all the players test this game and then see Starforged Legacy, you'll be fixed on this guy.
I don't mind comparisons or healthy conversation.
But when it drops to just name calling and really reductive remarks, I'm just going to lock the thread and tell you to take the nonsense elsewhere.

I wish nothing but the best for Starforged Legacy & team Second Shift Games, their game is neat and worth a look. They just did a very similar idea in a different way.
