LOL What a cheater

Keyn: 15:40, but has over 1.51M score.

Next highest is buttprince: 1:09:00 but has only 54K score.

Can I suggest you just get rid of the leaderboard at this point, as only hackers and cheaters are making the top 10.

For that exact reason. If its a single player game, why bother having a leaderboard. Its an eyesore, when you know that no matter how good you play legitimately, you'll never get in the top 10 because they are all cheating. Should just get rid of the leaderboard.

Dev has already removed them a few times, not a lot he can do i think other than disable it all together. Which wouldnt be a bad thing imo

Palandus, In the nicest way possible you were smart enough to list all the issues with trying to stay alive against the warden previously. You are standing on a track and your solution is to turn and run faster down the track than the train that is coming for you is not going to work. but those who instead chose to step aside are cheating? I'll leave you to get creative and work it out because I think you'd appreciate that more

I'm currently on #4 - first time I've ever been on any scoreboard lol. You get the big scores if you play endless mode, longest I did was 40 minutes today. It doesn't spawn that last invincibru boss and no more bosses every 5 mins unfortunately (i guess since their loot pool is still a bit small).

Even in endless modes getting 1.5mill in 19mins is impossible. Especially when the next is only 50k. Cheaters should be perma banned imo. Almost as bad as cheating in mmo/online

In the nicest way possible, your analogy sucks.

If the only way to win is to cheat, why bother having rules or even a scoreboard. It will be irrelevant.

well yes the obvious stupidly large score was a hack but to consistently say that all top 10 runs are cheaters just isn't the case.

Have you actually tried to survive against the Flagship? Its not an easy thing to do. It hits you from beyond its red circle, it deals literally 500 damage a second when you are in range of it, and with high menace, it would become faster than you even with Thruster Overdrive active. Staying alive for 10 minutes was nearly impossible, but yet you had people with 20-40 minutes of survival time.

I've lasted 30mins against it. Time isn't the tell, its the score that tells you if someone is cheating. Right now, if you have a score of 1.5mill, you cheated.

Why is a single player game, it doesn't effect you at all.

Normally I agree, in sp games cheat away I don't give a F. However when leaderboards are involved its a different matter. Because it DOES then impact others. Personally I think leaderboards in SP games these days is a waste of time. Because as was shown today, some people can't resist being Muppets and cheating to the tip of them for some perceived epeen stroking. Despite everyone knowing they cheated and everyone thinking they're pathetic

I agree with this post and wish to lend my voice/support, leaderboards that only have cheaters listed at the top are useless and should just be dropped.

Yeah its unfortunately just a pain point with steams leaderboard as it allows just simple manipulation and cheated values.
I'll keep on top of removing obviously hacked scores where I can.
I will continue to investigate how to further remove scores automatically or some client side verification.

Existing cheaters have been cleared out and its something I'll keep working on.
