You can alt+f4, reload the fame, hit continue to reload from when you last entered the room, step out and in (so the game will select a new item, as it rolls which item when it loads the room), and try again to save a bit of time.
Try one more time - This time you can bid on a Talkabo!
This. Took me 9000 times to get them on SNES, but first 2 attempts at the auction this time around. I've got enough for Excalipoor, but am holding out for the 1 mil achievement before buying it.
That's what RPG maker on the PlayStation taught me to call a "Switch." Any character or object can be assigned a switch number, say "Switch 1." You then go to the data for the map you want Switch 1 to affect, and include an instruction that says "If Switch 1 is on, then so and so."
In this case, talking to Mr Blue Vest activates the ability for Excalipoor to appear. It's actually pretty standard JRPG fare.
Oh yeah they are, and in force with all four of your squad equipped.
Then when you fire an X spell (multi targetted), aim for YOUR line and not theirs...their reflects won't do anything to prevent the hits from your end.
Also in the dragon;s den..there is annoying earth dragon who loves to use earthquake moves.
