Kefka's name
"I hear that there's some fanatical members of the Cult of Kefka insist on spelling Kefka's name with C's instead of K's.

That just seems silly to me. Kefka's still Kefka. He's the same villian, no matter how you spell his name!"

^Hahaha I loved this easter egg. It's what a new guard says inside of one of the towers in Figaro Castle.

What say you... Kefka or Cevca?

Kefka, Cefca, always reminded me of "In the Penal Colony" by Kafka. The first time you encounter him is in the desert, riding on top a machine that harnesses the just.

Or maybe I'm overreaching?

It's a mocking on Kefka's name in the Japanese manual/guidebook/or whatever. They spelled it Cefca. It also is a mock on some fans on the internet who cry about people writing Kefka's name with C.

It's also nod to the FFVI retranslation by RPGOne. The translator who worked on the GBA script has played the retranslation.

I was a beta tester of the retranslation version. If you find the credits for that version of the game, you'll see my other screen name I use on steam on there. Make sure to look for Shinrin. ;)

It turns out, Kefka's mind was one and the infusions were expermental reguarding Magitek but the Nerves in his mind were completely Severed & went into a Joker spree. He takes joy in others suffering like Batman's The Joker. He sets castles on fire and poisons rivers for fun! Everyone in the Gestalian Empire hates him. Whenever you hear Kefka's theme, you know when that clown will strike & something bad is going to happen in FF6.

So Kefka is an evil clown in FF6?

Kefka. It feels right plus it'd be hard to spell differently after all the years of playing it haha.
