Siegfried, Typhon and Tonberries (3x) rages
In older versions we could never get this 3 rages due a bug. And since we got an achievement about getting all rages, i want to know if this 3 monsters were fixed in this version and now do appear in Veldt.

You can technically get the Tonberries one but it doesn't count for the achievement since you can't use it and only by looking at the RAM can you actually see that you do indeed learn it. For Siegfried and Typhon no you cannot learn those without cheats, and again they do not count.

But will the tonberries show up in Veldt (the ones that drop minerva bustiers)?
Thanks for the reply

Yes, you can get the rage but it won't appear in your list. As in the game remembers that Gau learned it, but it's not anywhere to use. For that reason they don't check for it for the achievement.

Last question... And Death Warden? I found that you can make he appear in Veldt only if you see his formation in Soul Shrine. Do it counts towards the achievement?

Yes, it does I believe.

Death Warden will be added once you face it in the Soul Shrine. In fact, most of the encounters there will appear in the Veldt anyways. I know because I have King of Beasts on my end.

You will get King of Beasts after the battle where you acquire the 253rd Rage. The game will check your Rage variable against the one it has with everything completed.

In the Gau Bible, read the Veldt Battle Formations section to get an idea of where each monster is in the Group formations (it will REALLY help to understand this if you want to learn Rages efficiently or get King of Beasts as fast as possible) and how you can reroll your Groups so that you can get what you need fast.

But I would suggest only getting hte Rages you will use in battle now instead of just acquiring everything if you are planning on using Gau for the game, especially if you play on Active. Cause the last thing you want is to waste time looking for a Rage you want out of a mass list of 200+ (believe me, I had to do it on Omega Weapon and Kaiser).

Errr... Hmm... Thanks for the reply, but im not a ffvi newbie. I had all battle formations in my gba version, thanks to djibriel's guide and a list with monster packs. Also, i already figured out a way to manipulate Veldt formations and battle the ones i need, by using a trick adapted from gba version.
Thanks anyway ;p

No worries. The method for rerolling the Group is the same as in the GBA version, so that part is true.

But if you ever need it, it is there for you. Whether you are a newbie or good.

On an off note, Siegfred and Typhon are worthless Rages (former has 8 weaknesses and living Flare, even though Rock Slide and Meteor crush it and latter harms your party if you dont have Deathproofing). Tonberries would have surpassed Stray Cat if it was usable (Attack x 8, status immunities and absorba Water).

No, the gba one required you to battle like 2 monster packs away from the one you need. Also my trick is just battle 2x away from veldt and quicksave since one battle usually leads to the same formation. And you don't get it, i dont need rages to make use of them, im just a completionist. Anyway, i got my gau achievement yesterday.

I see. One less thing to worry about then.

But your reroll method sounds different. Cause the mobile version Quick Save maintains the group. You just need to do a non-Veldt battle to refresh it. I remember it worked on the GBA for some people.

I know both versions completely randomize if you hard Save and Quit. Snes it would add 13 to the group.

Usually one battle outside Veldt leads me to the same formation, thats why i battle 2x outside and quicksave. At least it works for me.
The order is like this:
-Get closer to the pack that i need using save (yes it puts you in random monster packs but i keep the ones that are closer to the one i need) and quicksave
-Battle and check what i got, alt+f4 if i dont get it.
-Continue, battle outside veldt x1 (yes this time it works), battle in Veldt and check what i got, alt+f4.
-Continue, battle outside veldt 2x, check veldt.
-Loop (2x battle outside then check veldt).

If you have been getting the same formations, it sounds like you either have had terrible RNG or your Group only has 1 formation in it. I have had that happen quite a lot when I was trying to get Still Life. But your idea sounds like mine except you do 2 battles outside Veldt instead of 1.

No, i have meet all formations (i put some effort in this) based on Djibriel guide.
I noticed some mention of already acquiring the achieve... quick question - did anyone have trouble getting Tonberry to appear in pack 32, if you recall? I have everything listed in my bestiary but no matter the method I use I seem to get every formation in pack 32 except this one.

Apologies if slightly off-topic.
