The other day i was on a public server and i saw a sign that had lots of different colour texts on it (well acutally it was just one word with different colour letters) I was wondering how to do this with the signs in game. A tutorial or guide would be nice also happy to watch a youtube video if needed

Sorry for reviving this thread, but i cant find any info anywhere about the ecoicon item ID updates. There are several icon ID im trying to put on my shop signs, and they show the wrong icon.
Seems the item ID on the wikki is very outdated.
Is it possible to get a fresh item ID list as of patch 0.8.3.3 ?

Would also appreciate an option to make signs of a single solid color. That would allow us to make community-oriented mosaics & pixel art.

FYI - as a workaround I tried making a sign that used a <color> tag and the filled-rectangle ASCII characters, but Eco just displayed them as ??. So it didn't have the intended effect. The best I got was a bold capital O ... which was interesting, but not what I'd wanted.

Every item in the wiki has a code shown in the column on the right-hand side. This code allows you to add its icon to the sign.

Look up the name of the item and find what its 'ID' is.
That is what you put in the ecoitem tag name option.
For example: Worldy Donut has the ID='WorldlyDonutItem'
The final text would be <ecoitem name='WorldlyDonutItem'>
