"Panel" button? and textbox transparency

There is a "panel" button on the top right corner of the textbox, does anyone know what it is for? Nothing happens when I click it. Also, please please please please add the option to lower the ocpacity of the textbox, it is very big and it covers the beautiful sprites and cgs. And yes, we can hide it, but no, it is too inconvenient. So pleassseeeeee let us lower that....

What's with the opening subtitles?

I'm really confused. Whilst I know the English in the song itself isn't the best and can understand wanting to sub them with intended meaning, some parts feel straight-up rewritten. What's happening with that?
