cross-progression screwed up my account

I signed up for cross-progression and now i have no friends list. No friends. Cant join anyones game. When i try to turn off cross progression i get an error and its been disconnecting for 2 days.

disconnect your steam account and your friends list will be back but you won't have any bloodpoints or shards

if you send a random a friend request through the game it fixes it. well at least it did for me. not sure if it matters but they had a globe next to their name.
